Manju Warrier’s Prathi Poovankozhi confirmed for Christmas release!

Manju Warrier’s new film with Rosshan Andrrews, which has been titled as ‘Prathi Poovankozhi’, has also joined the list of films releasing for Christmas. Last day, Manju took to her social media handle to announce that the film will be hitting screens on December 20. First look poster will be out on November 20, followed by a single release.

‘Prathi Poovankozhi’ scripted by Unni R is actually based on one of the writer’s short stories of the same name. The original story is actually a satire that looks into the current socio-political setting from a different perspective. The film adaptation has Manju Warrier and Ansuree playing the roles of sales girls working in a textile shop.

Director Rosshan Andrrews is making his acting debut with this ‘Prathi Poovankozhi’. Though the makers had approached few other actors, nothing fell in place. Rosshan eventually decided to take up the role with the support of his writer Unni R. He will be seen playing a negative role in the film.

‘Kumbalangi Nights’ fame Grace Antony, Saiju Kurup, Alencier Ley Lopez and ‘Marimayam’ Sreekumar are also part of the cast. G Balamurugan is the cinematographer and Gopi Sunder is handling the music department. The film is being produced by Gokulam Gopalan under the banner of Sri Gokulam Films.
