Meena and Trisha not part of Mohanlal’s next!

After a month long break, Mohanlal is back for shooting. He recently started working on Bollywood filmmaker Ajoy Varma’s debut Malayalam movie, which is said to be a thriller. Earlier, reports suggested that popular heroines Trisha and Meena would be playing the female leads in the movie. However, the makers have now come out declining it.

Producer Santhosh T Kuruvilla of Moonshot Entertainment has clarified that the above-mentioned actresses are not part of the film. Parvatii Nair, noted for roles in films like James and Alice and Uttama Villain, has been confirmed as one of the female leads. It is worth a mention that Parvatii is playing one of the heroines in Tamil film Nimir, which is also backed by the same production house.

Suraj Venjaramoodu, Dileesh Pothan and Sai Kumar will also be seen in prominent roles in Mohanlal’s upcoming movie with Ajoy Varma. The makers are currently on the look for another suitable actress to play Mohanlal’s wife. Director Ajoy Varma is a former associate of Ram Gopal Varma and Rajiv Anchal. He has previously directed a Hindi movie titled SRK. His debut outing in Malayalam, which is yet-to-be-titled, is scripted by newcomer Saju Thomas.

Reportedly, Mohanlal has given 15 days out of his busy schedule for this movie. It will be mostly shot in places outside Kerala like Mumbai, Mongolia and Sri Lanka. The movie went on floors earlier this week in Mumbai. It is being produced by Santhosh T Kuruvilla’s Moonshot Entertainment, and co-produced by John Thomas and Mibu Jose Nettikdan.
