Meena and Trisha to play the female leads in Mohanlal’s next!

Recently, Mohanlal made a surprise announcement about his next project after the ongoing Odiyan. Ajoy Varma, a former associate of Gopal Varma and Rajiv Anchal is making his Malayalam debut with this upcoming movie. He has previously directed a Hindi movie titled SRK.

As per latest reports, Meena and Trisha will be playing the female leads in the movie. Meena shares a wonderful chemistry with Mohanlal as she has worked with him in several films. Their last outing together was in Munthirivallikal Thalirukkumbol, in which they played a middle-aged couple.

This upcoming movie will be Trisha’s second Malayalam film. The South Indian beauty is making her M-Town debut this year with Nivin Pauly’s Hey Jude, directed by Shyamaprasad. Veteran actor Prakash Raj has also been roped in to play a prominent role in the Ajoy Varma film. He is also playing an integral part in Mohanlal’s Odiyan.

Newcomer Saju Thomas has scripted this movie, a thriller which will be shot majorly outside Kerala. Apparently, Mohanlal is very excited about this project as he squeezed dates for the movie in between his busy schedule. Mumbai, Pune, Sri Lanka and Thailand have been finalized as the major locations. This big budget movie is being produced by Santhosh T Kuruvilla’s Moonshot Entertainment and co-produced by John Thomas and Mibu Jose Nettikadan. The makers are planning to start shoot in December and release it by May next year.

Mohanlal is currently busy shooting for Odiyan, directed by VA Shrikumar Menon. Priyadarshan’s multilingual mass entertainer, actor Prithviraj’s directorial debut Lucifer and VA Shrikumar Menon’s magnum opus Mahabharatha are some of his other projects in the pipeline.
