Mega Actor Mammootty to Enthrall the Audience Again: Jeo Baby’s ‘Kaathal-The Core’ Gearing Up for Release

Mammootty, the iconic superstar of Mollywood, is basking in the success of his recent release, “Kannur Squad,” and he’s all set to embark on his next cinematic journey with director Vysakh. With three upcoming films in the pipeline, namely “Bhramayugam,” “Bazooka,” and “Kaathal,” the excitement among fans is palpable as these projects enter their post-production stage.

While official updates have been scarce, recent reports suggest that “Kaathal – The Core,” helmed by the talented director Jeo Baby, may see the light of day in November with the possibility of a direct OTT release. However, the production team has yet to confirm this development.

What sets “Kaathal – The Core” apart is the inclusion of the popular Tamil actress, Jyothika, in the lead role. This marks her first-ever collaboration with the legendary Mammootty. The script for this intriguing family drama is penned by Adarsh Sukumaran, known for his work in ‘RDX,’ in collaboration with Paul Scaria. The film is produced under the prestigious banner, ‘Mammootty Kampany,’ reflecting the actor’s commitment to quality cinema.

In the movie, Mammootty steps into the character of Mathew Devassy, an independent left-front candidate contesting in the 3rd ward of Theekkoyi Panchayat election. Director Jeo Baby, renowned for critically acclaimed works such as ‘Kunju Daivam,’ ‘Randu Penkuttikal,’ ‘Kilometers and Kilometers,’ ‘The Great Indian Kitchen,’ and ‘Freedom Fight,’ is set to showcase the exceptional acting prowess of Mammootty.

The ensemble cast of the film boasts names like Muthumani, Chinnu Chandni, Sudhi Kozhikkod, Anagha Akku, Josi Sijo, Adarsh Sukumaran, and others, sharing the screen with Mammootty and Jyothika. The musical compositions are orchestrated by Mathews Pulickan, while the experienced Saloo K George captures the visuals. Francis Louise takes the helm as the editor for this flick.

Rumors abound that “Kaathal – The Core” is scheduled for a direct OTT release on the Jio Cinema platform, adding to the anticipation surrounding this much-awaited cinematic gem.
