Megastar Mammootty’s Karnan wins the battle

Karnan has been the hot topic of discussion among the movie lovers of the state for sometime now. There are two upcoming projects in Mollywood based on the life of epic character Karnan from Mahabharata.

Prithviraj Sukumaran will be playing the lead in Karnan directed by RS Vimal while Mammootty will be playing the role of Karnan in the upcoming untitled movie written by P Sreekumar and directed by Madhupal.

There has been lots of rumours and speculations about both the movies. Naturally the expectation levels were very high.

We at Onlookers Media decided to conduct an online poll to see which among the two movies is more awaited by the cine goers.

Around 4500 people participated in the polling. Mammootty’s Karnan received 2700+ votes while the Prithviraj starrer received 1500+ votes. So, it seems that Megastar Mammootty’s Karnan is the more awaited movie.

Mammootty has already proved his mettle in such historic and epic movies through his performance in movies like Oru Vadakkan Veeragatha and Kerala Varma Pazhassi Raja.

Preproduction works for Prithviraj’s Karnan has already started in Hyderabad. The movie will be made on a massive budget of 300 crores. It will be a multlingual made in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. Many prominent stars from other industries will also star in the movie. It will be made in 3D format.
