A memorial for Kalabhavan Mani in his hometown

Sculptor Da Vinci Suresh, a close friend of late actor Kalabhavan Mani, has built a new statue as a memorial for him. The statue will be placed in the library near Kalabhavan Mani’s house.

Kammattipadam fame Manikandan Achari unveiled the 8 feet statue today morning. Kalabhavan Mani’s brother RLV Ramakrishnan approached Suresh to sculpt a memorial for his brother. Suresh himself took the entire expense of the work.

Kalabhavan Mani passed away on March 6 last year. His death came as a huge shock to the Malayalis. He was hospitalised by his close acquaintances after he vomited blood and fell unconscious in his outhouse. There are still many unanswered questions and mystery surrounding his death. The police have been investigating the case for the past one year.
