Mohanlal and Malavika Mohanan Gear Up for Sathyan Anthikad’s “Hridayapoorvam”

In a significant update from the 25th-anniversary celebrations of Aashirvad Cinemas in Kochi, veteran filmmaker Sathyan Anthikad unveiled exciting details about his much-anticipated project, “Hridayapoorvam,” starring none other than the legendary Mohanlal. Amidst much fanfare, Sathyan Anthikad announced that Malavika Mohanan had joined the cast, stepping into the shoes of the female lead originally earmarked for Aishwarya Lekshmi.

Set against the backdrop of Pune, “Hridayapoorvam” promises to be a heartwarming family entertainer, blending Sathyan Anthikad’s trademark storytelling with a fresh narrative penned by Akhil Sathyan, while Sonu T P takes charge of the screenplay and dialogues. The film’s ensemble cast includes acclaimed names like Sangita Madhavan Nair, Sangeeth Prathap, Siddique, and Janardhanan, adding depth to its narrative canvas.

Scheduled to commence filming with a traditional pooja ceremony on February 10 in Kochi, the production will see Mohanlal joining the sets on February 14, marking a momentous occasion in Malayalam cinema. Notably, “Hridayapoorvam” marks Mohanlal’s return to sync sound technology after over three decades, a move that promises to capture his performance with unparalleled authenticity directly from the shooting locations.

Under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas and produced by Antony Perumbavoor, the film is slated for a grand Onam release on August 25, 2025, setting the stage for a cinematic celebration. Adding to the film’s allure is the musical prowess of composer Justin Prabhakaran and the visual finesse brought by cinematographer Anu Moothedath and art director Prasanth Madhav.
