Mohanlal calls and congratulates Olympian PR Sreejesh

PR Sreejesh continues to get adulation from all corners. The goalkeeper of Indian men’s hockey team that won bronze medal in Tokyo Olympics, returned back to Kerala on Tuesday. Ever since then, Sreejesh has been getting calls and visits from some of the biggest names of the State.

Malayalam cinema superstar Mohanlal called Sreejesh over phone and and congratulated him on his historic achievement. In the audio conversation, Mohanlal is heard saying how everyone is proud of Sreejesh. The star also added that he is hoping to meet him soon.

Earlier in the day, the other big M, Mammootty made a surprise visit to Sreejesh’s house at Kizhakkambalam in Ernakulam district. He was accompanied by film producer Anto Joseph and production controller Badusha. Photos of their visit have been shared in social medias.

On his return back from Tokyo, Sreejesh was received by V Abdurahiman, Minister for Sports and representatives from State Sports Council, Olympic Association and Hockey Association. He is the first Malayali to win an Olympic medal in 49 years. Last day, the Kerala government announced a cash reward of Rs 2 crore and a job promotion for Sreejesh.
