Mohanlal in C/O Saira Banu
Debutant Antony Sony’s C/O Saira Banu, released yesterday, is getting good reports from all the centres. Critics have rated it as a decent watch with families. The movie stars Manju Warrier in the titular role and it also marks the comeback of yesteryear actress Amala Akkineni to Mollywood after a gap of over two decades. Kismath fame Shane Nigam is also playing a major role in the movie.
The surprise package of the movie is none other than superstar Mohanlal. No, he is not in the movie physically but his presence is made through his voice for the character Peter George, a photographer. He is Shane Nigam’s (Joshua Peter) father in the movie. Mohanlal’s photo and his powerful voice certainly has a lasting impact on the movie.
Manju Warrier has played a post woman in the movie while Shane Nigam is her adopted son, Joshua Peter. He is a law college student but is into photography and wants to become a photographer like his father. However, fate has something else in store and he gets caught in legal issues. Amala has played the role of advocate Annie John Tharavady in her comeback movie.
C/O Saira Banu is scripted by newbie RJ Shaan. Bipin Chandran has written the dialogues. Abdul Rahim has cranked the camera while Sagar Dass is in charge of the edits. Mejo Joseph is the music director. The movie is being bankrolled by Eros International.
