Mohanlal doesn’t know how to act, he only knows to behave : Kamal Hassan

Kamal Hassan, one of the country’s biggest actors has showered praise and eulogized Mohanlal in a prologue he has written for a book, Gurumukhangal, that is being published by the Mathrubhumi Books.

Kamal has written that he admires Mohanlal a lot. Mohanlal doesn’t know how to act, instead he behaves. Kamal pointed out Mohanlal’s perfomance in Vanaprastham as an example for his acting finesse. Mohanlal won the National Award in 1999 for his stunning performance as the Kathakali artist Kunhi Kuttan in Vanaprastham.

Though their have friendship have lasted for over 30 years, it was only in 2010 that they acted together for the first time. Chakri Toleti’s Unnaipol Oruvan, the official remake of Wednesday was the first time they shared screen space with each other.

Kamal also added that if a list of top five actors in the country is taken, then Mohanlal will certainly be one among them. He also wrote about Mohanlal’s son Pranav in the foreword.

Pranav worked as an assistant director in Kamal Hassan’s Papanasam directed by Jeethu Joseph. The movie was the official remake of Mohanlal’s blockbuster movie Drishyam. Kamal has written that Pranav is very humble and doesn’t have any airs of being a star kid.
