Mohanlal got record remuneration for Janatha Garage !

Mohanlal is unarguably the biggest crowdpuller here in Mollywood and without any doubt, the most loved and most followed actor in Kerala. And when it comes to his acting skill, many greats calls him the greatest actor Indian Cinema has ever seen. So it is natural that his star value will be on sky high and his name is enough to bring people to the theaters in large numbers. We had already saw in last year that even films with average response getting great collection at box office and becomes a success financially only because of his name.

The star value of Mohanlal is well known outside Kerala as well. So whenever he acts in a film other than Malayalam, the makers of that movie gives him the highest remuneration when compared to the salary he gets here in Mollywood. As per reports, the upcoming Telugu film of him and Jr. NTR also gave him the highest remuneration. As per some unconfirmed reports, it is the record remuneration received by a Malayalam hero for acting in a film.

The upcoming film named Janata Garage, directed by Koratala Siva is produced by Mythri Movie Makers. The Tollywood and Mollywood film lovers are so much excited to see the combination of Mohanlal and Jr. NTR on the screen. Mohanlal is playing the character of Jr. NTR’s uncle and some flash back scenes had already shot at the first schedule at Hyderabad in which Mohanlal participated along with other Mollywood actors such as Rahman. As per reports, they had given Mohanlal 1.5 crore as cash and along with that gave him the rights of the film here in Mollywood. Mohanlal had reportedly sold that right and got 4.5 crores and now his total remuneration stands on 6 crore rupees for the film.

Normally, a Telugu dubbing film gets only around 1.5 crore maximum here, as its distribution rights. But the name Mohanlal had tripled the amount and now it has been sold for 4.5 crores. The official conformation about tis news had not came yet. But it seems that Mohanlal again created record here and proved that when it comes to star value, he is the ultimate here in Mollywood.
