Mohanlal to head to Mongolia for his new movie!

Last year, Mohanlal made a surprise announcement about his new film with Hindi filmmaker Ajoy Varma. It was a surprise since Mohanlal’s schedule was jam-packed with several big projects lined up. But Mohanlal squeezed in dates for Ajoy Varma’s movie after being highly impressed by the subject, which reportedly is a thriller. As per latest reports, the superstar will be heading to Mongolia on the third week of January for the movie’s shoot.

Mohanlal has been on a break for over a month for reducing his body weight. The 57-year-old actor shed around 18 kgs for his upcoming movie Odiyan. The final schedule of Odiyan will commence only after he completes Ajoy Varma’s film. He has allotted 15 days time for the movie. After wrapping up a brief schedule in Mongolia, the team will be next moving to Mumbai to shoot the remaining portions.

Ajoy Varma, a former associate of Ram Gopal Varma and Rajiv Anchal, is making his Malayalam debut with this upcoming movie. He has previously directed a Hindi movie titled SRK. His debut outing in Malayalam, which is yet-to-be-titled, is scripted by newcomer Saju Thomas.

As per reports, Meena and Trisha will be seen as the female leads in the movie. Veteran actor Prakash Raj has also been roped in to play a prominent role. This big budget movie is being produced by Santhosh T Kuruvilla’s Moonshot Entertainment, and co-produced by John Thomas and Mibu Jose Nettikadan. The makers are planning it as a summer release, this coming May.
