Mohanlal in Prithviraj’s Ezra?

Prithviraj’s upcoming horror thriller Ezra has piqued the curiosity of the audinece with it’s intriguing trailer. The trailer released week promises something unseen in the Mollywood industry.

The visuals, sound effects and the quality of the shots are up to the mark of some of the best horror thrillers in Indian cinema.

Ezra is directed by debutant Jay K, a Mumbai based ad filmmaker. Rahul Raj has composed the music while Sujith Vassudev handled the cinematography.

After the release of the trailer, there are many reports that superstar Mohanlal is starring in Ezra. They claim that Mohanlal is playing the title character ‘Ezra’.

In the beginning of the trailer, we can see a man from behind holding a paper that reads “The spirit of Abraham Ezra dislocated from his body 1941 AD”. The man has a slanting shoulder and a physique that resembles Mohanlal.

Some photos claiming to be Mohanlal’s look in the upcoming Prithviraj directorial Lucifer are still doing the rounds in the social media.

In these photos Mohanlal is wearing a chain with a locket that is strikingly similar to the one Prithviraj is seen holding in the trailer. Also during the shooting stages, the Wikipedia page of the movie had Mohanlal’s name in the list of the cast which was later edited.

All this has spiked speculations among the fans of both the actors. However, there has been no official word from the makers of Ezra.

Priya Anand is playing the female lead in Ezra which is also her debut movie in Malayalam. The movie also features Tovino Thomas, Babu Antony, Vijaraghavan, Sudev Nair, Bharath Dabholkar and debutante Anu Sheetal playing important characters.

The movie is produced by Mukesh R Mehta and C V Saradhi under the banner E 4 Entertainment.
