Mohanlal-Jeethu Joseph Collaboration ‘Neru’ Set to Grace Screens on Christmas 2023 – Release Date Confirmed

Mohanlal, renowned as the “Complete Actor” of Indian Cinema, is all set to captivate audiences with his highly anticipated upcoming film, “Neru,” helmed by the master director, Jeethu Joseph.

The release date for this much-anticipated flick has been nearly confirmed for the 21st of December this year. Insider information regarding the release date was relayed to select exhibitors in Kerala by the esteemed production house, Aashirvad Cinemas.

Initially, Aashirvad Cinemas had reserved this date for the release of Mohanlal’s eagerly awaited directorial debut, “Barroz.” However, due to a change in the release plans of the South Indian blockbuster “Salaar,” “Barroz” was compelled to reschedule its release to the next summer. Consequently, Aashirvad Cinemas has now set its sights on releasing “Neru” on this date, despite it being a relatively smaller production.

“Neru,” a poignant courtroom drama, is scripted by Jeethu Joseph and Shanti Mayadevi, and filming for this project is nearing completion. Alongside Mohanlal, the film boasts an ensemble cast featuring Siddique, Jagadeesh, Priyamani, Anaswara Rajan, Nandu, Shanthi Mayadevi, Ganesh Kumar, and more. Mohanlal takes on the role of an advocate in this gripping narrative.

The camera work is skillfully handled by Satheesh Kurupu, while the musical score is composed by Vishnu Shyam. The editing department is under the capable hands of V S Vinayak. “Neru” marks the reunion of the Pan Indian blockbuster duo, Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph, known for their previous successes with “Drishyam”, “Drishyam 2” and “12th Man”
