Yes.. They are coming again to hunt down the Mollywood Box-office records. We are talking about an upcoming project named kanal in Mollywood. The team behind kanal  is M Padmakumar and S Suresh Babu. And they have roped in the Universal star, the one and only complete actor in Indian cinema, Mohanlal for their upcoming project and as per reports another young star of Mollywood will share equal screen space with Mohanlal in this film. Reports also says that Prithviraj or Dulquer Salmaan will be that young star and the official announcement of who will do that role will come very soon.

Mohanlal- M Padmakumar- S Suresh Babu team had earlier worked together for a movie called Shikkar in 2010 and the film was a blockbuster hit of that year. Mohanlal as Balaraman gave a sterling and unbelievably adventurous performance in the movie which really mesmerized the audience. When this team is coming again, the expectations are on sky high and they are well aware of that as well.

Padmakumar and S suresh babu done Thiruvambadi Thampan with Jayaram in the lead after Shikkar but it was not a success at box office. After that debacle Padmakumar had done films like Paathira Manal, Orissa, Oru bolivian Diary (a segment of the anthology film D Company) and Poly Technique. But none of them got clicked at the Box office. Now on this one, he had high hopes.

Writer S Suresh Babu at the same time wrote Film star which had Janapriya Nayakan Dileep in the lead, Thiruvambadi Thampan which mentioned above and the critically acclaimed Kamal- Jayaram film Nadan, after his success story with Shikkar in 2010. Film Star and Thiruvambadi Thampan was a failure at box office and Nadan even though was not a commercial success, got great critical appreciation for its script and also for the performance of Jayaram.

So both M Padmakumar and S Suresh Babu needs a come back and kanal will be the one which they are looking for that come-back. The presence of Mohanlal itself is the biggest bet they can have on this project and if there is another young star with Lalettan, it will be a sure shot at box office.
