His works for the films such as Shahrukh Khan starrer Farhan Akhtar directorial blockbuster film Don and Aamir Khan starrer film Talaash were widely appreciated and applauded. Even legends like Amitabh Bachchan was impressed with his amazing cinematography for the film Don which is in fact the remake of Amitabh Bachchan’s earlier film with the same title in 1978.

KU Mohanan, a Malayali who is from Payyannur, Kannur district of Kerala. When he was asked about Malayalam cinema he said that the best actors he ever saw in Indian cinema is Megastar Mammootty and Mohanlal, the complete Actor. Being one of the best actors in India their talent is unmatchable. KU Mohanan said that he is a frequent viewer of Mollywood films even though he works in Bollywood and the recent Mollywood film he loved was Drishyam by Jeethu Joseph starring Mohanlal.

KU Mohanan also said that working with Shahrukh Khan and Aamir Khan was a fantastic experience. Shahrukh Khan is a workaholic with amazing energy and Aamir is a great professional to work with. His upcoming film is the Shahrukh Khan starrer film Raees which will hit the screens next year.
