“Mohanlal nails it as Ithikkara Pakki”; Rave reviews from Kayamkulam Kochunni preview show!

Kayamkulam Kochunni is unarguably one of the most awaited Malayalam movies of the year. This epic film directed by Rosshan Andrrews is based on Kochunni, a legendary highwayman who lived in the 18th century. Nivin Pauly plays the titular role in the movie which also stars superstar Mohanlal in a cameo role. Gokulam Gopalan of Sri Gokulam Films has produced this movie, which is said to be one of the most expensive films ever made in Malayalam cinema.

Recently, the makers had organised a preview show at YRF Studios, Mumbai. The show was attended by director Rosshan Andrrews, Mohanlal, Nivin Pauly and other selected invitees. Critics who watched the movie have heaped positive reviews with unanimous applause for the performances. Mohanlal’s performance as Ithikara Pakki and his combination scenes with Nivin Pauly are said to be the movie’s major highlights. The veteran star has a screen time of around 30 minutes in the movie.

After the preview show, noted critic Sethumadhavan Napan tweeted,
