Mohanlal-Shafi team to join for the first time next year

The latest rumor that is doing its round in Malayalam film industry that Super Star Mohanlal and hit maker Shafi is all set to join hands for the first time in their career. Even though there is no official confirmation regarding these reports, but it says that Shafi got Mohanlal’s dates for a comedy thriller which will be produced by Milan Jaleel under the banner of Galaxy Films.

If it is true, then it will be Mohanlal’s second association with Galaxy Films after the blockbuster success of Run Baby Run directed by Joshiey in 2012. Reports says that the screenplay of the film will either be written by Rafi or Benny P Nayarambalam. There are rumors that Benny P Nayarambalam will write the screenplay for this movie based on the story written by Rafi. Rafi may be busy with his directorial venture with Fahad Fazil in the lead at that time and that is why they had roped in Benny P Nayarambalam to write the screenplay for this Mohanlal-Shafi project.

Rafi and Mohanlal had joined earlier for Hello and China Town which were blockbusters of 2007 and 2011 respectively. Those films were written and directed by Rafi-Mecartin duo. Benny P Nayarambalam had earlier written Chotta Mumbai directed by Anwar Rasheed for Mohanlal, which is a super successful film as well released in 2007.

Now, he is writing the script for Mohanlal-Lal Jose Movie in which Mohanlal plays a college lecturer. This movie also begin filming next year produced by Mohanlal’s own production company Aashirvad Cinemas.
