Mohanlal and Shrikumar Menon team up once again after Odiyan

Mohanlal’s ‘Odiyan’ is easily one of the biggest disappointments in Malayalam cinema in recent memory. Releasing amidst a never-before-seen hype, the movie failed to impress the majority audience but ended up on a safer side, when seen from a business perspective. ‘Odiyan’ was the directorial debut of VA Shrikumar Menon, a popular ad filmmaker.

Almost a year after the release of ‘Odiyan’, Shrikumar Menon and Mohanlal are collaborating once again, but this time for an ad film. Shrikumar Menon is directing an ad for MY G with Mohanlal starring in it. Recently, the director had shared photos taken during the shoot in his official social media handle.

Mohanlal meanwhile has completed almost all his portions for ‘Ittymaani Made In China. He will soon be joining the sets of ‘Big Brother’, directed by veteran Siddique. His directorial debut ‘Barroz’ and ‘Lucifer’ second part ‘Empuraan’ are his other confirmed projects.
