Mohanlal starrer Thanmathra to be remade in Hindi

The Blessy written and directorial film named Thanmathra, which become a super commercial and critical success is all set to be remade in Hindi. The film is noted for the unbelievably stunning performance of Mohanlal as an Alzheimer’s patient and the film had won the best actor award in Kerala State film awards and he also reached the final round of National film awards for the best actor in India. The film had fetched him many other popular achievements as well.

Still the film is considered as the best film in Blessy’s career as a director and one of the most memorable performances from Mohanlal. Now, the director is all set to remake it in Hindi and he himself said in a meet the press program arranged at Damam by Damam Media forum.

Blessy said that he will reveal the male lead of the film after completing the pre-production works of the Hindi version and only after the Hindi version of Thanmathra he will begin the shoot of his epic film based on Benyamin’s Aadu Jeevitham. Prithviraj is the hero in that movie which will be a big budget film and will be making it using 3D technology.

Blessy said that family is the most important part of a society and what happens in a society affects family as well. Even though Thanmathra is about the disease named Alzheimer’s disease, it is also about the relationships in a family. He said that he met a man who stopped using alcohol after watching Thanmathra as he became aware of the problems his wife and children facing because of this habit of him and he says he did not want to miss his wife and children anymore.

Earlier, Kollywood star Vikram told that the character played by Mohanlal in Thanmathra is a dream role for him and he really wants to remake it in Tamil. Mohanlal’s performance in it was beyond words and it will be interesting to see who will reprise the character played by Mohanlal in the Hindi version of the film.
