Mohanlal to trim down for B Unnikrishnan’s upcoming movie

Mohanlal recently wrapped his portions for Major Ravi’s 1971: Beyond Borders in Georgia. He will soon be joining the sets of B Unnikrishnan’s upcoming movie. The yet to be titled movie is an investigative thriller, in which Mohanlal will be seen as an ex-cop. Though his character name is not yet known, he is playing a Christian in the movie.

Mohanlal is currently undergoing a treatment in Poomully Ayurveda Mana to shed a few kilos for his new movie. Reportedly, his character in the movie demanded a trim look so the actor went straight to Poomully after returning back from Georgia.

Popular Kollywood actor Vishal is playing a pivotal role in the movie. One of the leading ladies of the South industry, Hansika will also be seen in a prominent role. Another big name in the cast is Telugu actor Srikanth. Siddique, Aju Varghese and Chemban Vinod Jose are also part of the movie.

Well known producer Rockline Venkatesh will be bankrolling this movie which is being planned to be made on a budget of Rs 30 crores. Rockline Venkatesh has earlier produced biggies like Superstar Rajinikanth’s Lingaa and Salman Khan’s Bhajrangi Bhaijaan.

Apart from the stellar star cast, B Unnikrishnan has also assembled a strong technical team for this movie. Reportedly, the film will have much significance to VFX and special effects. An international company from Poland have been roped in to handle the VFX works. Acclaimed cinematographer Manoj Paramahamsa known for his works in movies like Vinnai Thandi Varuvaya and Nanban will be handling the camera. Oppam fame 4 Musics will be composing for this investigative thriller.

The movie will go on floors by the end of February. Munnar and Vagamon are the other major locations.
