Mohanlal wishes Sourav Ganguly on his birthday!

Former Indian cricketer Sourav Ganguly is celebrating his 47th birthday today and wishes are pouring from all corners for the legend. Fondly called as Dada across the country, Ganguly is one of the best captains that the country has ever had. For his birthday, fellow cricketers, fans and well wishers are showering all their love. Malayalam cinema superstar Mohanlal has also wished Ganguly through his official Twitter handle. Yesterday happened to be Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s birthday and the actor didn’t forget to wish him as well.

Sourav Ganguly is one of the greatest left-handed batsmen the game has seen. He has amassed over 10,000 runs in ODI cricket and lead the Indian team to a World Cup final in 2003. Taking over the reigns of captaincy when the team was plagued by match fixing allegations, Ganguly instilled a new sense of belief. India made it a habit of winning regularly and it was under his captaincy that the team won some of the most famous overseas series.

Sourav is currently in England as a commentator for the ongoing Cricket World Cup, 2019. India finished the league stage by topping the table. The first semifinal will be played tomorrow against New Zealand (July 9) in The Old Trafford Stadium in Manchester.
