Mohanlal’s Barroz to Release in IMAX 3D, Eyeing November Release

Mohanlal’s directorial debut, Barroz: Guardian of D’Gama’s Treasure, is gearing up for a grand release in IMAX 3D, with the makers now targeting a November 2024 release. Initially slated for an October 3rd launch, the film’s release was postponed due to delays in post-production.

This fantasy-adventure film boasts a star-studded crew, including renowned cinematographer Santhosh Sivan, composer Lydian Nadhaswaram for songs, and Mark Kilian for the background score. The editing is handled by B Ajith Kumar. Mohanlal not only directs but also plays the lead role of Barroz, a 400-year-old guardian of a mythical treasure.

Adding to the film’s international appeal, most of the cast hails from Portugal, Spain, and other foreign countries. Barroz will be released in nine languages, aiming for a global audience with its spectacular 3D visuals and IMAX experience.
