Mohanlal’s Directorial Debut ‘Barroz: The Guardian of Treasures’ Set for Global Release on March 28, 2024
Mohanlal, the legendary Superstar of Mollywood, marks his directorial debut with the highly-anticipated 3D fantasy film ‘Barroz: The Guardian Treasures.’ After a year-long post-production phase, the official release date has been revealed.
Mohanlal took to his social media platforms to announce the global screening of this magnum opus on March 28, 2024. The film will hit screens in multiple languages, including Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, English, Arabic, and other foreign languages.
This big-budget fantasy, tailored as a children’s film, showcases Mohanlal in the lead role as Barroz, a 400-year-old ghost safeguarding a hidden treasure. The film’s cinematography is a creation of Santosh Sivan, based on a story concept by Jijo Punnoose, developed into a screenplay by Mohanlal and TK Rajeev Kumar.
Aashirvad Cinemas backed this monumental project, with background music by Hollywood musician Mark Kilian and songs composed by the prodigious talent, Lydian Nadhaswaram from Tamil Nadu. Editing credits go to B Ajith Kumar.
