Mohanlal’s Lal Salaam gets a great reception among the Malayali audience

After Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Kamal Haasan, Malayalam superstar Mohanlal also recently made his entry to small screen. The first episode of his talk show Lal Salaam was aired last Friday on Amrita TV.

Unlike the other shows hosted by his peers, Mohanlal’s Lal Salaam is not just for the sake of entertainment. It provides a platform to give recognition to those who have been influential in the positive changes in the society.

In a recent interview to leading National news channel CNN IBN, Mohanlal himself had said that Lal Salaam will be a socially imapctful show. “This is just not another filmy show. We’re bringing people who have committed their whole life to social service and doing unbelievable jobs for the society.

It is a platform for them to tell what they have been doing. Lal Salaam is not a regular show. It is going to be a revelation. It can cause a lot of impact on the society,” said Mohanlal.

The show has got great reception among the Malayali audience. Mohanlal is one actor who is loved by the viewers irrespective of the age groups. Kids and elders adore him alike which has made the show an instant success. The fantastic dubsmash between him and Manju Warrier on the first episode was the perfect kick-start for the proceedings.

On the cine front, Mohanlal’s much awaited Odiyan with director VA Shrikumar Menon is all set to go on floors by the end of this month. The superstar is currently on a short vacation in Bhutan and will soon join the Odiyan team in Varanasi. He is also awaiting the release of Velipadinte Pusthakam, slated to hit the screens for this Onam season.
