Mohanlal’s Max Lab releasing Sketch in 200 centres across Kerala!

After a no-release 2017, Vikram will be hoping start this new year on a high as his mass entertainer ‘Sketch’ is gearing up for release. Then movie will be hitting screen on January 12 as a grand Pongal release. Directed by Vijay Chander of ‘Vaalu’ fame, Sketch has Tamannah Bhatia playing the female lead.

The Kerala theatrical rights of this Vikram starrer has been acquired by the Mohanlal owned company Max Lab. Antony Perumbavoor, through his Facebook page, informed that Sketch will be releasing in over 200 centres all across Kerala. It will be a tough battle this Pongal as Suriya’s highly anticipated Thaana Serntha Koottam, Arvind Swamy’s Bhaskar Oru Rascal and Prabhu Deva’s Gulebagavali are also slated to hit screens on the same week.

Sketch is eagerly awaited by Vikram fans as it has been a long while since the actor has done a complete mass action entertainer. Vikram sports a handsome new bearded avatar in this movie.
The movie is a regular commercial pot-boiler set in the locales of North Chennai. Veteran actor Radha Ravi, Soori, Priyanka, Sriman, Ravi Kishan and RK Suresh are also part of the cast.

SS Thaman is handling the music department and M Sukumar has taken care of the cinematography. Director Vijay Chander’s debut movie Vaalu with Simbu and Hansika Motwani in the lead roles, was a failure both critically and commercially. So, the director will be trying to make up for Vaalu’s debacle with Sketch. The movie is being produced by Kalaipuli S Thaanu, who has funded other biggies like Kabali and Theri.
