Mohanlal’s ‘Thudarum’ Enters ₹100 Crore Club in Just 6 Days – Becomes 11th Mollywood Film to Achieve the Feat
Mohanlal-starrer Thudarum has officially entered the prestigious ₹100 crore club worldwide within just 6 days of its release, making it the second fastest Malayalam film to do so after Empuraan (2 days). Directed by Tharun Moorthy and produced by M. Renjith under Rejaputhra Visual Media, the crime drama has struck gold with its powerful narrative, technical finesse, and legendary performances. The film has grossed ₹40 crore in Kerala, ₹10 crore from the rest of India, and a massive ₹55 crore from overseas markets.
This milestone makes Thudarum Mohanlal’s fourth film to cross the ₹100 crore mark, after Pulimurugan (₹143 cr), Lucifer (₹128 cr), and Empuraan (₹264 cr). With this, he becomes the only Malayalam actor to have four 100 crore grossers, cementing his status as the most bankable and iconic star of Kerala. The film has also become the fourth Malayalam movie to gross $1 million from the USA, joining an elite club.
Thudarum is now the 11th Mollywood film to join the ₹100 crore club, alongside hits like Puli Murukan, Lucifer, 2018, Manjummel Boys, Premalu, Aadujeevitham, Aavesham, ARM, Marco, and Empuraan. Additionally, it has recorded the biggest working day gross in Kerala history, showcasing its incredible theatrical pull and mass appeal.
