Mohanlal’s Thudarum Locks Massive ₹20 Crore+ OTT & Satellite Deal with Disney+ Hotstar and Asianet

Malayalam superstar Mohanlal’s upcoming film Thudarum, directed by Operation Java and Saudi Vellakka fame Tharun Moorthy, has secured a staggering ₹20 crore+ deal for its OTT and satellite rights. The film will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar post-theatrical release, with Asianet bagging the satellite rights. This major acquisition further cements Mohanlal’s unbeatable market value.

The title Thudarum was officially unveiled on November 8, accompanied by a captivating first-look poster featuring Mohanlal in an endearing moment with schoolchildren. This film also marks the long-awaited on-screen reunion of Mohanlal and Shobana, last seen together in Sagar Alias Jacky Reloaded (2009).

Produced by M Renjith under Rejaputhra Visual Media, Thudarum boasts a stellar cast, including Binu Pappu, Maniyanpilla Raju, Farhaan Faasil, and Aanandam actor Thomas Mathew. Co-written by Tharun Moorthy and KR Sunil, the film is expected to deliver a compelling narrative. The technical crew features Shaji Kumar as cinematographer, Jakes Bejoy as composer, and Vishnu Govind handling sound design.
