Mudhugauv actress to romance Karthi in his next!
Yet another Malayali actress is finding her feet in Kollywood. Arthana, who made an impressive debut with Gokul Suresh’s Mudhugauv, is getting back to back offers in Tamil. After starring in Samuthirakani’s Thondan, GV Prakash’s Semma and Vennila Kabadikuzhu 2, the pretty actress has signed up for her fourth movie in which she has been paired opposite Karthi.
Directed by National award winner Pandiraj, this upcoming movie has two other heroines – ‘Vanamagan’ fame Sayyeshaa and ‘Meyadha Maan’ fame Priya Bhavani Shankar. Arthana has been roped in as the third heroine. This yet-to-be-titled film is said to be a complete family entertainer. Yesteryear actress Bhanupriya, Sathyaraj, Soori and Ponnvannan are also part of the supporting cast.
Karthi’s brother actor Suriya is funding this film under his banner 2D Entertainment. Reportedly, Suriya was mighty impressed with Pandiraj’s narration that he immediately agreed to produce the movie.
The director is well known for his films like Pasanga, Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga and Kathakali. His debut film Pasanga won him a couple of National awards. He has also worked with Suriya previously in Pasanga 2, in which the star played an extended cameo.
Pandiraj’s upcoming movie with Karthi has music by D Imman and cinematography is handled by Velraj. The team has already the wrapped up the first schedule and is currently on a break as Karthi and other actors are in Malaysia for a star night event.
