Multi-starrer Pathinettam Padi gears up for release

Actor-writer Shanker Ramakrishnan’s directorial debut ‘Pathinettam Padi’ has high expectations among a section of audience as it has some big star presence. Though the lead roles are essayed by newcomers, the cast also includes stars like Mammootty, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Unni Mukundan and Arya.

‘Pathinettam Padi’ is said to be a story about the rivalry between a bunch of teenagers from two different schools. Megastar Mammootty plays an extended cameo in the movie. His character named John Abraham Palackal is a very prominent one and basically takes the story forward. The actor sports an extremely stylish look with a pony tail hairstyle. Prithviraj, Arya and Unni Mukundan will be seen in guest appearances in the movie.

Apart from 66 newcomers, the elaborate cast also comprises of noted actors like Priya Mani, Manoj K Jayan, Ahaana Krishna, Maniyanpilla Raju, Maala Parvathy, Biju Sopanam, Suraj Venjaramoodu and others. Shaji Nadesan is producing the movie under the banner of August Cinema. It is scheduled to hit screens on July 5, Friday.
