Multiplex issue resolved as Dileep acts as a mediator

The strike initiated by the multiplex owners over distribution share issues have finally been resolved. The decision was taken after the multiplex representatives attended a meeting with a core committe of the Film Exhibitors United Organisation of Kerala (FEUOK) headed by Dileep, producers association and the exhibitors association.

The profit share issue has been a long standing one. The multiplexes have been demanding a hike in the theatre shares for sometime now.
PVR Lulu Mall Kochi, Cinepolis Centre Square Mall, PVR Oberon Mall Kochi and Thrissur Shobha INOX were all on strike.

The meeting waa held in Kochi today to ensure that Eid releases are not affected. With the strike finally coming to an end, all the Eid release will be screened in the multiplexes.

Prithviraj-Indrajith-Murali Gopy starrer Tiyaan, Fahadh Faasil’s long delayed Role Models, Vineeth Sreenivasan’s Oru Cinemakkaran, Asif Ali-Unni Mukundan-Vinay Forrt trio’s Avarude Raavukal and Fahadh-Dileesh Pothan team’s Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum are the Malayalam movies slated to hit screens for this Eid season.
