Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol : Only Mohanlal could do Ulahannan’s character, says Jibu Jacob

Mohanlal’s Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol is finally releasing this Friday. The movie comes with a baggage of expectations. This is Mohanlal’s next release after the all time blockbuster Pulimurugan, director Jibu Jacob’s next after Vellimoonga and the comeback of Drishyam couple Mohanlal and Meena.

Director Jibu Jacob recently in an interview opened up about the movie and his experience working with Mohanlal.

“Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol is a family drama told with situational humour. Mohanlal is playing the character Ulahannan in this movie. I personally feel, apart from Mohanlal no other actor could play this character. He is one of the world’s best actors, many great directors in Indian cinema have also said the same. The viewers will understand that when they watch the movie.”

Mohanlal’s character Ulahannan is a panchayath secretary. He is married to Aniyamma, played by Meena. Sanoop Santhosh and Jacobinte Swargarajyam fame Aima Rose Sebastian play their kids in the movie.

Anoop Menon, Alencier Ley, Srinda Arhaan, Neha Saxena, Bindu Panicker, Rahul Madhav, Sudheer Karamana, Nedumudi Venu, Joy Mathew, Kalabhavan Shajon, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Sharafudheen and a host of other actors play supporting characters in the movie.

M Sindhuraj has written the script for this movie based on the short story Pranayopanishath written by James VJ. Bijibal and M Jayachandran has composed the songs while the former has handled the background score.
