Mohanlal- Puneet Raj Kumar starrer Mythri, the Kannada movie that was released on 20th february 2015 had a great run at sandalwood box office with glorious box office collection and awesome critical appreciation. The reviews of the movie from critics and also from audience says that it was one of the best films ever made in Kannada language. The major highlight of the movie are the coming together of living legend of Indian cinema and universal star of mollywood Mohanlal and Puneet Rajkumar, the Kannada superstar. The much appreciated film is directed by Giri Raj who has given some other good films in sandalwood before.

The Malayalam version of the film will hit the screens of Kerala in this Vishu season and both the Kannada flick and the Malayalam flick were simultaneously shot as per reports. The report says that Director B M Giriraj has shot certain portions of the movie in a way that it also suits the Malayalam language and keeping in view of the mollywood spectators.In Mythri Kannada version Mohanlal has dubbed his portions in his own voice, but in Malayalam version Puneet Rajkumar’s voice will not be heard as he chose it to be that way. In the Malayalam version of the film Kalabhavan Mani plays the role which Ravi Kale played in the Kannada version and which is a very important role.

The movie is a great entertainer widely accepted by the kannada audience as well as all over the globe wherever it got released. It is not just a usual Kannada entertainer and the movie comes with a strong message to the society. Tight scripting, great characterization, terrific performances and soulful music has all be the reason for the positive reviews and great success of the film which is really an eye opener for Sandalwood.Music of the film was done by Ilayaraja and N S Rajkumar is the producer. DOP was Krishna Kumar which also got great appreciation. The Malayalam version is financed by Sajith Kumar and the music of the film will be out here in the coming week as per latest reports.
