National award winner Apurva Asrani heaps praise on Nivin Pauly’s Moothon

It has been almost a year since the release of ‘Moothon’ but the film still continues to be talked about. The Geetu Mohandas directorial was noted for its sensitive and beautiful portrayal of a homosexual relationship. Nivin Pauly and Roshan Mathew as the gay couple were brilliant and their portions are easily the best moments of the film.

Apurva Asrani, a renowned editor-turned-filmmkaer from Bollywood, has showered praise on the film and the performances. He has tweeted,

Apart from being a National award winning editor, scenarist and filmmaker, Apurva Asrani is also an influential voice in the fight for equal rights for the LGBTQ in India. An appreciation coming from such a person would surely mean a lot to Geetu Mohandas and team. Nivin Pauly has also thanked Apurva though his Twitter handle.
