Navarasa gears up for release; Here’s a new location still

Netflix’s star-studded Tamil anthology ‘Navarasa’ is gearing up for release in August. Though the exact date is not yet out, cinephiles are eagerly looking forward to it. It is a 9-part anthology film that brings together some of the leading filmmakers, actors and technicians in Kollywood.

Gautham Menon is helming one of the segments that has Suriya as the lead. The actor is said to be playing a singer’s role in it. In the location stills, Suriya looks dapper in a long haired get up. The actor had been sporting it from last year’s lockdown days and Gautham Menon asked him to retain it as he thought it suits the character. Recently, the film’s cinematographer PC Sreeram shared a location still taken with Menon and Suriya in his Twitter handle.

‘Navarasa’ also has films helmed by Karthik Subbaraj, Karthick Naren, Vasanth, Ponram, Rathindran Prasad, Arvind Swami, Bejoy Nambiar and Halitha Shameem. The cast includes like Arvind Swami, Vijay Sethupathi, Revathy, Prasanna, Prakash Raj, Nithya Menen, Ashok Selvan, Aishwarya Rajesh, Poorna, Rythvika, Gautham Karthik, Bobby Simha and Vikranth.
