Navya Nair–Soubin Shahir Starrer “Pathiraathri” to Hit Theatres on October 17
The much-awaited Malayalam thriller “Pathiraathri”, directed by Ratheena, is all set for a worldwide release on October 17, 2025. Starring Navya Nair and Soubin Shahir in lead roles, the film is produced by Dr. K.V. Abdul Nasser and Ashiya Nasser under the banner of Benzy Productions, with Dream Big Films handling the distribution in Kerala. This marks Ratheena’s second directorial venture after the acclaimed “Puzhu”, starring Mammootty. The film also features Sunny Wayne and Ann Augustine in pivotal roles.
The recently released trailer has heightened anticipation, promising an intense emotional crime thriller that unfolds through a gripping investigation. Set against the backdrop of a mysterious midnight incident, “Pathiraathri” delves into the intertwined lives of police officers Jancy (Navya Nair) and Harish (Soubin Shahir). The trailer hints at a multi-layered narrative filled with suspense, emotions, and power-packed performances, positioning the film as one of the most awaited thrillers of the year.
The film boasts a strong supporting cast including Aathmeeya Rajan, Sabarish Varma, Harisree Ashokan, Achyuth Kumar, Indrans, and Tejas. The screenplay is penned by Shaji Maarad, blending emotion, drama, and crime investigation into a compelling narrative. “Pathiraathri” features music by Jakes Bejoy, cinematography by Shahnad Jalal, and editing by Sreejith Sarang. Following “Thudarum” and “Lokah”, Jakes Bejoy returns with another powerful score, with T-Series acquiring the music rights for a record sum.
