Nayana Anil : Another Malayali girl to set foot in Kollywood

Language has never been a barrier for filmmakers when it comes to casting heroines. Many Malayali actresses have been able to create a niche for themselves in Kollywood. The trend of Malayali actresses making it big in K Town is existent form the past itself.

Several Malayali actresses like Shobhana, Asin, Nayanthara, Nazriya Nazim and more recently Keerthy Suresh have all seen great success in Tamil cinema industry.

Following this trend, another Malayali girl, Nayana Anil is making her debut in Kollywood. The movie is titled as Idi Minnal Puyal Kadha. Nayana Anil in a recent chat session with Onlookers Media opened about how she entered the industry, her ambitions and more.

Nayana Anil says, “I was one of the 20 contestants shortlisted from 3000 for the Grihalakshmi Face of Kerala contest. After seeing my photos from the event, I was offered a chance to act in an album. The next day, I was approached to be the model for an advertisement.

After that, the offer for my Tamil movie came way. They were looking for someone who had the same features as mine. They selected me after the auditions. The movie titled as Idi Minnal Puyal Kadha is produced by Shivaji Cinemas. My character in the movie has ample scope for performance.

I have also acted in an album Prana. Teaser for the album was released recently to good response from the viewers. We are now planning to release the album officially on Valentines Day. Works for another album is also progressing.

After completing the shoot for my Tamil movie, I was waiting for a good opportunity in Malayalam. Currently I am in talks for two movies, and I am hoping to commit one soon.
