Nayanthara to play the female lead in Suriya’s next?

After the debacle of ‘NGK’, Suriya is currently working on ‘Soorarai Pottru’, which is being directed by Sudha Kongara. After its completion, the actor will be next teaming up with director Siva, who is fresh from the blockbuster success of ‘Viswasam’. KE Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green is producing the movie.

Apparently, the makers are planning to rope in Nayanthara to play the female lead. The actress was part of Siva’s ‘Viswasam’ and has worked with Suriya in films like ‘Mass’, ‘Ghajini’ and ‘Aadhavan’. She is currently part of some big films in Tamil like ‘Bigil’ and Rajinikanth’s next. We’ll have to wait and see if Nayanthara commits for Suriya’s film.

Suriya has pinned high hopes the project. In a recent interview, he said that he was highly excited about it as the script demands him to step out of his usual comfort zone. He even cited the example of Amitabh Bachchan’s films that have good story, wholesome entertainment, and at the same time, ample scope for performance. Suirya firmly believes that his film with director Siva will be a similar one.
