Nayattu to start streaming on Netflix from tonight

We had earlier reported about the makers of Martin Prakkat’s ‘Nayattu’ bagging a deal with streaming giant Netflix. It has been announced that the film will be available on the platform from tonight, 12 AM IST. The film starring Kunchacko Boban, Nimisha Sajayan and Joju George as the leads had its theatrical release on April 8. Upon release, it was lapped up by critics with many rating it as a hard-hitting and thought-provoking film.

‘Nayattu’ is scripted by Shahi Kabir, who had earlier penned ‘Joseph’. The film presents a disturbing picture of how dalits are exploited and cops get victimized in a corrupt system. It is centred around three cops who are on a run after accidentally getting involved in a crime.

The performances of all the three lead actors — Kunchacko Boban, Nimisha Sajayan and Joju George — garnered equal appreciation. The film has cinematography by Shyju Khalid and edits handled jointly by Mahesh Narayanan and Rajesh Rajendran. Veteran filmmaker Ranjith and PM Sasidharan together produced the film under the banners of Gold Coin Motion Picture Company and Martin Prakkat Films.
