‘Nayika Nayakan’ fame Venkitesh joins the cast of Mammootty’s Priest

Mammootty is currently shooting for ‘The Priest’ directed by debutant Jofin T Chacko. The film has a highly promising star cast. Manju Warrier is acting with Mammootty for the first time. Nikhila Vimal, Sreenath Bhasi, Saniya Iyappan, Baby Monica of ‘Kaithi’ fame, Jagadheesh, Ramesh Pisharody, ‘Karikku’ fame Ameya Mathew and Tony Luke will also be seen in important roles.

Latest to join the cast is Venkitesh VP, who shot to fame with the reality show ‘Nayika Nayakan’. He had also played a major role in the Vidhu Vincent directorial ‘Stand Up’. Recently, during the audio launch event of ‘Stand Up’, Venkitesh had shared his excitement about getting to meet Mammootty, whom he considers his idol. So it now a dream come true moment for the youngster to act alongside the superstar.

‘The Priest’ is said to be a thriller with horror elements in it. Its story is written by Jofin while screenplay and dialogues are penned by Deepu Pradeep and Shyam Mohan. On the technical front, the film has Akhil George of ‘Ibilis’ fame as the DOP and Rahul Raj as the music director. Shameer Muhammed is handling the edits. The film is jointly produced by Anto Joseph, B Unnikrishnan and VN Babu.
