Neerali has a subject that Malayalam cinema is yet to try out: Suraj Venjaramoodu

Mohanlal’s upcoming movie Neerali is a very interesting project. The movie was not initially there in his schedule but he squeezed in dates between the schedule break of Odiyan. Mohanlal allotted dates despite his busy schedule after being highly impressed by the script. He shot for only around 15 days for the movie and the entire shoot was wrapped up in just 36 days. All this has piqued the curiosity among the audience.

Neerali is directed by Ajoy Varma and scripted by newcomer Saju Thomas. Not much is known about the movie except for the fact that it is a thriller. Suraj Venjaramoodu, who plays a crucial role in the movie, says that Neerali has a subject that Malayalam cinema is yet to try out.

Mohanlal plays Sunny, a gemologist in the movie and Suraj will be seen as his driver. They both share the longest screen time in the movie. According to him, the movie has eqaul dose of humour, action and thrill. Nadiya Moidu, who is making a comeback to Malayalam, is essaying the role of Mohanlal’s wife in Neerali. Dileesh Pothan, Nassar and Parvatii Nair are also part of the supporting cast.

Neerali is currently in the post production phase. The team is now working on the highly anticipated teaser, which is expected to be released very soon. Director Ajoy Varma himself is editing the movie and Stephen Devassy is composing music. There will be three songs in total out of which one, a duet track, will be sung by Mohanlal and Shreya Ghoshal. The movie is being produced by Santhosh T Kuruvilla’s Moonshot Entertainment, and co-produced by John Thomas and Mibu Jose Nettikdan.
