NGK shoot nearing completion; Kochi schedule wrapped up!

We had recently reported about Suriya shooting in Kochi for his upcoming movie, NGK. The team had shot a song sequence featuring the lead pair, Suriya and Rakul Preet Singh in Mattanchery. The latest we hear is that the schedule has been wrapped up and the team has next moved on to Pollachi. The makers are working hard towards an April release, most likely for Tamil New Year.

NGK is highly anticipated, both by Suriya fans and the common audience. The movie directed by Selvaraghavan has been on the floors for nearly a year now. It was initially planned as a Diwali release but shoot got delayed due to multiple reasons.

NGK is a political thriller that has Suriya playing the role of an MLA. Apart from Rakul Preet, the movie has one more female lead in Sai Pallavi. Telugu actor Jagapathi Babu will be seen as the villain. The movie’s technical crew comprises of music director Yuvan Shankar Raja, cinematographer Arvind Krishna and editor Prasanna GK.

SR Prabhu of Dream Warriror Pictures is funding the movie.
