2015 is almost over and only Christmas films are here to grace the silver screens of Kerala and Mollywood box office as well. It is the time to analyze the stars of this year and in Mollywood the competition for that title is between Nivin Pauly and Prithviraj this year. This is a year in which super stars like Mammootty and Mohanlal not shined well and youngsters like Prithviraj and Nivin Pauly shined as stars, actors etc.

The box office battle was really between Nivin Pauly and Prithviraj to say honestly. Through 4 releases of this year, Nivin Pauly films had earned almost 98 crores from Kerala Box office as a total business. On the other hand Prithviraj films in total had earned 100 crore rupees and it is from 6 releases of him this year.

Nivin Pauly had releases such as Mili, Oru Vadakkan Selfie, Premam and Ivide. His last release this year was on May 29. It was on that day that his Premam and Ivide released. Mili was a critical and commercial failure. Oru Vadakkan Selfie was the first blockbuster of this year which had done a total business above 30 crore. His Premam had become the 2nd highest grosser here after Drishyam and it had done a total business around 60 crores. Ivide was also a disaster at box office. In total, from his 4 films , there was a business around 98 crores approximately had done in Mollywood.

Prithviraj had 6 releases this year. They are Picket 43, Ivide, Double Barrel, Ennu Ninte Moideen, Amar Akbar Anthony and Anarkkali. Picket 43 was a hit and average grosser at box office which grossed around 5 crore. Ivide was a disaster as we mention above, which has Nivin Pauly as well. Double Barrel is also a disaster at box office and grossed only around 3-4 cr from box office. But Ennu Ninte Moideen had become one of the all-time blockbusters here and done a business around 50 crore. Amar Akbar Anthony also done a business around 30 crore and the last one Anarkkali also had done something around 7-8 crores as of now. In Total, his films had done almost 100 crore business approximately as well.
