Nivin Pauly-Nayanthara starrer Love Action Drama’s shoot pushed to May!

As we had reported earlier, actor Dhyan Sreenivasan is turning a director with a fun entertainer starring Nivin Pauly and Nayanthara. The movie titled ‘Love Action Drama’ (LAD) was initially planned to start rolling this month. But since Nivin Pauly is busy with the shoot of Kayamkulam Kochunni, the makers of LAD have decided to push the shoot to May.

Kayamkulam Kochunni still has two more brief schedules left. After the ongoing schedule in Goa, the team will be having a small break till Easter. They will then be heading to Sri Lanka for a 10-day shoot. If things go as per plans, Kayamkulam Kochunni will be wrapped up by the end of April and LAD will kick-start by the second week of May.

Meanwhile, Nivin will also be losing weight before LAD goes on floors. Apparently, his character in the movie demands a youthful look. So, he will have to shed the extra pounds that he had put on for Kayamkulam Kochunni. Nivin and Nayanthara are paired together for the first time and the audience are eagerly waiting to see their on-screen chemistry.

Dhyan’s Love Action Drama is a modern day take on the hit film ‘Vadakkunokkiyanthram’, directed by his father Sreenivasan. Interestingly, the lead characters in LAD are also named as Dineshan and Shobha. Following the announcement of the title and character names, it was speculated that the movie will be a spoof.

However, Dhyan, who has also scripted the movie, has clarified that it is not a spoof but a romantic comedy. Nivin Pauly’s character will have a few similarities to Dineshan of Vadakkunokkiyanthram, but there will be no other resemblance. Aju Varghese and Urvashi will also be seen in prominent roles in the movie.

Shaan Rahman will be handling the music department and Vivek Harshan has been signed as the editor. Aju Varghese is venturing into production by funding this movie jointly with Vishak Subramaniam under the banner of Funtastic Films.
