Nivin Pauly,the name came up on the title cards of a flick for the first time in the film named Malarvadi Arts Club which was noticed for many other reasons such as the directorial debut of Vineeth Sreenivasan, the son of the Mollywood legend Sreenivasan and also for the matter that popular actor Dileep financed the film the completely new star cast. Among these big names, the names such as Nivin Pauly who played the male lead in that film not get so much attention even though he did well and the film was also a commercial success.

Nivin later acted a number of other films as well but the one which make his name a popular one in mollywood was the blockbuster hit named Thattathin Marayathu which was also happened to be directed by his mentor Vineeth Sreenivasan. The character named Vinod he played in that film made him one of the popular young heroes of mollywood and more than that it gives him a his own space among the young viewers as well as family audience.
