It was a great news when it is announced that Vineeth Sreenivasan is going to direct his next film with Nivin Pauly in the lead. Because the two films Vineeth Sreenivasan directed with Nivin Pauly in lead was successful ones. They are Malaravadi arts club and Thattathin Marayathu. Malaravadi Arts Club was the debut of Vineeth Sreenivasan as a writer and director and Nivin Pauly made his acting debut also through that film. Later Vineeth had done another film name Thira with his brother Dhyan Sreenivasan in the lead but it did not do well at box office.

Vineeth Sreenivasan had written the script for Nivin Pauly film named Oru Vadakkan Selfie which was directed by G Prajith. That was a big success too. Thus this combination is a super successful one in Mollywood and they are coming together again through this upcoming film named Jacobinte Swargarajyam which had started rolling.
At first there was reports that the film was titled as Davidinte Swargam. Then Vineeth Sreenivasan himself told through his Facebook profile that it is titled as Jacobinte Swargarajyam and also told the details of its cast and crew.

Vineeth himself had written the screenplay as usual. The title character of Jacob will be played by Renji Panicker. The film will have Popular South Indian director Gautham Menon as well as an actor. The full shoot of this film will be in Dubai and it is the first time that Vineeth really coming out from Kerala for the shoot of his film even though he shot some sequences in Mumbai for Thira. Popular young actor Sreenath Bhasi also playing a key role in this film.

The film will be based on some incidents which really happened and it is taken from the life of some people well –known to Vineeth Sreenivasan. He said that it was the most difficult script work for him till now. Another interesting factor in this film is that popular actor Aju Varghese is working as an assistant director to Vineeth Sreenivasan in this film. Shan Rahman will compose the music for this film as well.
