Nivin Pauly’s Kanakam Kamini Kalaham launched

Nivin Pauly’s new film ‘Kanakam Kamini Kalaham’ got launched today with a pooja function. The film is written and directed by Ratheesh Balakrishnan Poduval of ‘Android Kunjappan Ver 5.25’ fame. Nivin’s own production house Pauly Jr Pictures is backing the film.

According to director Ratheesh, ‘Kanakam Kamini Kalaham’ is a family drama that also has dark humour and satirical elements. Like his debut film ‘Android Kunjappan’, this is also a movie about ordinary people and their lives. The makers have planned to shoot the film completely in Ernakulam.

Grace Antony has been signed as the female lead. Vinay Forrt is also there in an important role. Joy Mathew, ‘Vikruthi’ fame Vincy Aloshious, Jaffer Idukki, Sivadas Kannur, Rajesh Madhavan and many others are part of the cast.

Nivin Pauly also has a few other projects coming up. He has signed an action flick titled ‘Gangster of Mundanmala’. It is scripted by debutant Aneesh Rajasekharan and will be directed by newbie Ronnie Manuel Joseph. Nivin himself is producing the film along with Ravi Mathew Productions.

‘Bismi Special’ is another project in the pipeline. Newcomer Rajesh Ravi is directing the film. He has co-cripted the film along with two other scenarists, Rahul Ramesh and Sanu Majeed. Sophia Paul of Weekend Blockbusters is producing it. The film reunites the ‘Njandukalude Naatil Oridavela’ pair of Nivin and Aishwarya Lekshmi.

Nivin still has a few portions left to be shot for ‘Padavettu’. His much-hyped ‘Thuramukham’ is awaiting theatre release.
