No words to describe, just mind-blowing: Nivin Pauly on Ranam trailer

Last day, the trailer of Prithviraj starrer Ranam was released in social medias. The movie directed by Nirmal Sahadev is based on the lives of the immigrant community in Detroit, Michigan. Mohanlal released the trailer through his official Facebook page. Ever since then, the trailer has been getting phenomenal response from the viewers. It is argubaly one of the most stylish trailer ever for a Malayalam movie. Not just the common cinephiles, celebrities have also been highly impressed by it.

Nivin Pauly shared the trailer in his Facebook page and wrote,

Nirmal Sahadev, no words to describe this trailer…just mind blowing! Prithviraj Sukumaran, you nailed it! Rahman sir, it’s always a treat to watch you! Waiting for #Ranam!

Nivin Pauly shares a good rapport with Nirmal Sahadev as they have worked together in Ivide and Hey Jude. While Nirmal was an assistant director in Ivde, he was one of the script writers of Hey Jude.

Ranam, set entirely in the US, looks like an Hollywood style action-thriller from its promos. Prithviraj reportedly plays a Tamil street gang member in the movie. Nirmal Sahadev has scripted this movie based on real life incidents. Rahman, Isha Talwar, Ashwin K Kumar, Shyamaprasad, Nandu and a lot of foreign actors are part of the cast.

Ranam’s technical crew comprises of cinematographer Jigme Tenzing, composer Jakes Bejoy, editor Sreejith Sarang and Christopher Brunetti, a renowned stuntman who has worked in many Hollywood movies. It is produced jointly by Anand Kumar Payyanur of Yes Cinema Company and Rani Lawson Biju of Lawson Entertainment.
