Not directing Mohanlal – Mammootty says Udhayakrishna

Recently, there were reports that popular scriptwriter Udhayakrishna is debuting as a director with a big budget starring Mohanlal and Mammootty in the lead. But, Udhayakrishna has dismissed all these reports as just baseless rumours.

Udhayakrishna said that he never even imagined of such a project. In a recent interaction, he said that, “If such a project is happening, it will be announced in a big way.

Both Antony Perumbavoor and Anto Joseph, who are reported to be producing the movie, are big producers and they would not just announce it through such media reports.

It’s a fake news created by someone and fake reports like these can strain good relationships within the industry.”

Udhayakrishna said he came to know about these reports only after he was flooded with phone calls and messages enquiring about the actuality in the news.

He said that both Mohanlal and Mammootty are the superstars of the industry, who everyone would like to work with.
When people create such news, they are straining good relationships and damaging the hardwork done by many people who have strived hard for the betterment of the industry.

Udhayakrishna is now scripting a movie with Mammootty in the lead. It is a complete commercial entertainer in which Mammootty will play the role of a college professor.

Shoot for the movie will commence next year. He has also committed for movies with Dileep and Jayaram, works for which will start only after finishing Mammootty’s movie.

Udhayakrishna’s last movie was the all time blockbuster Mohanlal starrer Pulimurugan which is still continuing its marvellous run jn theatres, reaching new heights at the box office.
