Odiyan release postponed?

Odiyan is one of the most hyped Malayalam movie in recent years. The movie based on the life of odiyans has superstar Mohanlal playing the lead role. Ad filmmaker VA Shrikumar Menon marks his feature-film directorial debut with this movie. The makers had announced that Odiyan will hit screens worldwide on October 11. But the latest we hear is that the release is most likely to be postponed.

Following the disastrous floods that rocked the state of Kerala, many films that were supposed during the Onam season had to be pushed. Various organizations in the Malayalam film industry including the Producers council, distributors and exhibitors union are currently alloting the new release dates. This unexpected change in dates has affected the plans of various films, including biggies like Odiyan.

As per latest reports, Odiyan will hit screens only in December during the Christmas reason. Likewise, Pranav Mohanlal’s Irupathiyonnam Nootandu, which was scheduled as Chistmans release will most probably be pushed for January next year. An official word regarding the release dates are still awaited.
